WHO INVENTED IT? SUSTAINABILITY BY TRADITION.
Hard to believe, but sustainability is not a new idea. For winegrowers, nothing has always been as important as working in harmony with nature. Only a careful use of resources, from the grape to the bottle, creates wines of exceptional quality. Our members have known this for generations. This is the basis for the viticulture of the future. That is why sustainable practices have always been a matter of course for us. On all levels.
NATURE & ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Approximately 8% of our vineyards are already cultivated according to strict organic principles. Most of our employees travel by electric car, and we use natural active ingredients for crop protection. We use 1320 solar panels on the roof of our building in Bernkastel-Kues to produce 400 KWp and save around 200 tonnes of CO2 per year.
REGIONALITY
Short distances, sustainable impact. Our cooperative is regionalism in action. Our central production site in Bernkastel-Kues is located in the heart of our home region on the Mosel. We rely on regional suppliers and the regional origin of our products and raw materials is a defining part of our corporate DNA.

Sustainable management and high-quality wines are teamwork in equal measure. That is why satisfied employees are an essential part of our corporate culture. This starts with fair working conditions as well as social audits that take into account the input from our 200 employees.
SOCIAL COMMITMENT
Being sustainable also means taking responsibility – in all areas. We work closely with charitable and social institutions such as the German Red Cross. By doing so, we take concrete responsibility locally and create real change in the social sector as well.
